1) Continuously improve our environmental performance and integrate recognised environmental management best practice into business operations.
2) Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation and approved codes of practice that relate to the Company.
3) Educate, train and motivate employees to understand and undertake their role in preventing, controlling and reducing the Company’s environmental impacts. All employees will undertake awareness training.
4) Set, review and document environmental objectives and targets annually, with aim of reducing pollution, emissions and waste from business operations. The present objectives are:
A. To monitor usage of all utilities, at both sites, transport fuel, packaging and paint.
5) Reviewing the Environmental Policy annually and making it available to interested stakeholders upon request and putting it on the Company’s website to make it available to the public.
6) Ensuring those working for or on behalf of the company are aware of the policy and it’s requirements.
7) Communicate both internally and externally on environmental issues and concerns, where relevant / necessary.
8) Consider environmental costs and implications when acquiring resources, purchasing, disposing of waste and in decision making regarding transport solutions.
The care and protection of the environment is of the upmost concern and can only be achieved with the active participation of all employees who should bear in mind the consequences of their own actions and show a continual commitment to improvement in environmental performance.
