BCR believes that the education of children is a vital aspect of its business since textile re-use and recycling will play an ever more important role in the lives of future generations.

School collections not only promote the concept of textile re-use and recycling amongst pupils but may help to drive the message home to parents who are not currently using their local textile recycling facilities.

Each school that enters the BCR textile recycling scheme is allocated its own Textile Contracts Manager. BCR's own in-house representative will visit the school and provide free demonstrations, talks and education packs.

This is also an excellent way of providing extra funds for schools. School collections are provided free of charge and the revenue raised is paid directly to the school.

The weights collected are then reported to your local authority and contribute towards their recycling targets.
